It’s time to meet in Montgomery Botanical Gardens for summer upkeep for that project. We will meet on our regular monthly volunteer day for the CCMGA Project at Montgomery Botanical Gardens, the third Tuesday of July at 8:00 am.
We will be deadheading many plants to encourage new blooms and to improve the appearance and health of the plants. We may need to perform some weeding in the beds. The gardens are experiencing increased numbers of visitors from many places during this season of summer travel. So, we want the gardens and plants to look their best.
We are beginning a bit earlier than usual to try to beat the heat. Please dress for gardening including hats and gloves as you wish. Bring your favorite tools for these purposes. You may want to bring a folding chair and water for rest periods. I look forward to seeing you and to helping to maintain the gardens’ health and beauty.
